Facility Reservations


January 3 – 16, 2022, all Northwestern students and members are required to make reservations to access our facilities. Students and members are limited to one 59-minute reservation per space per day and must stay in the specific fitness area indicated on their reservation. 

Reservations will open 24 hours prior to the reservation start time, and access granted up to 5 minutes before the beginning of the reservation.

Additionally, during this time, no walk-ups will not be allowed into the facility, and the selling of day passes is suspended.
 


Northwestern Students, Faculty, and Staff Reservations 

  1. Visit the Northwestern Recreation portal (recreation.northwestern.edu) and select Log In in the top right corner
  2. Northwestern faculty, staff, and students should use their NetID to log in.
  3. Select Facility & In-Person Class Reservation from either the portal homepage or the drop-down menu on the left-hand side.
  4. Choose the space or the class you would like to reserve. Click on it.
  5. Select the desired reservation date and select the Book Now option that corresponds to the desired time block.
  6. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email.
 


Community and Affiliate Reservations

  1. Visit the Northwestern Recreation portal (recreation.northwestern.edu) and select Log In in the top right corner
  2. Select Community Login and use your username and password to log in.
  3. Select Facility & In-Person Class Reservation from either the portal homepage or the drop-down menu on the left-hand side.
  4. Choose the space or the class you would like to reserve. Click on it.
  5. Select the desired reservation date and select the Book Now option that corresponds to the desired time block.
  6. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email.
 

Those without a NetID and password who have yet to set up their Northwestern Recreation account will need to fill out our account sign-up form to complete the above steps. Members with a current membership do not need to create a new account.

Need to cancel?
Reservations can be canceled up to two hours in advance. To cancel, select the cancel option included in your confirmation email. Or select the three dots next to your booking while on the portal. For assistance, call 847-467-4313 or email recreation@northwestern.edu. Unattended reservations may result in the suspension of reservation privileges.
