Elevate your camper's athleticism to new heights with Wildcat Varsity Sports Camp! This unique summer program for campers entering 6th – 8th focuses on developing multi-sport skills and improving fundamentals such as speed, agility, strength training, and nutrition. Your camper will embark on a transformative journey, developing skills in a variety of sports while acquiring the tools for lifelong physical well-being. With daily on-campus biking adventures and exciting off-campus field trips to ball games, water parks, outdoor adventure centers, and more, your camper will have an active, unforgettable summer.
Wildcat Sports Camp operates out of the Blomquist Recreation Center, 617 Foster Street, on the Evanston Campus, and is administered by the Northwestern University Department of Athletics and Recreation.
2025 DATES AND TIMES
- Session I: June 9 – 20 (no camp June 19)
- Session II: June 23 – July 3 (no camp July 4)
- Session III: July 7 – 18
- Session IV: July 21 – August 1
Programming for the camp day begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m.
TUITION
*Payment is required upon registration.*
If you are a current Northwestern faculty or staff member, you receive a $100 discount off each session—email wildcatcamp@northwestern.edu to receive your code applied at checkout.
REGISTRATION
Returning camper is now closed.
- Returning campers and their siblings will be guaranteed space if they enroll during the returning camper enrollment period.
- Note: "Returning campers" are defined as participants from our 2024 camp season.
General registration opens Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. and will continue until sessions reach capacity.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Camper Eligibility
Campers entering 6th – 8th grade in fall 2025.
Equipment
Campers will stay active throughout the day, biking around campus to and from their daily activities. Each session begins with a safety check for campers' bikes and helmets. For added safety, campers will be grouped into smaller groups, with a counselor leading in the front and another in the back, all equipped with safety vests.
Field Trips
Each week, campers will be bused to off-campus activities, such as ball games, ballpark tours, water parks, outdoor adventure centers, and more. A detailed schedule of field trips will be announced at a later date.
Lunch
Campers must bring their own lunch. Refrigeration is not available for camp lunches, and insulated bags and cold packs are recommended. Water and Gatorade will be provided throughout the day.

Camp Staff
Wildcat Sports Camp counselors are students and student-athletes from Northwestern and other universities, past Wildcat campers, area teachers, and year-round Recreation Department staff. Counselors from around the country bring diversity and innovative teaching methods to the camp experience. Our dedicated First Aid/CPR/AED certified counselors and instructors are the key to your camper's successful learning experience.
Are you interested in becoming a camp counselor? All applicants should thoroughly review our counselor duties and responsibilities before submitting a completed application.
Facility Tours
Our camp staff invites you to tour all the athletic and recreational facilities utilized during camp sessions. Those who are interested can call 847-491-7314, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., or email wildcatcamp@northwestern.edu to schedule a time slot.

Refund & Transfer Policy
All refunds will include a nonrefundable $50 processing fee. Participants who cancel 30+ days before the program start date will receive a full refund (minus the $50 processing fee). Participants canceling 21+ days prior to the program start date will receive a 50% refund (minus the $50 processing fee). No refunds will be given 20 or less days prior to the start date of the program.
Transfers will be considered on a case-by-case basis, pending program availability. No transfer requests will be accepted less than 21 days before the class start date.
