Student Membership


ELIGIBILITY

Students enrolled in one or more units of credit in a degree-seeking program receive an automatic membership. Student membership is only valid for currently enrolled students. 

*If a student is also Northwestern faculty/staff, proof of enrollment will need to be provided to the membership office for verification before membership activation.

Certificate program enrollment does not qualify for automatic membership.

Graduating Northwestern Students: Northwestern students who graduate in June (at the end of the spring quarter) will maintain facility access through the end of the summer quarter.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Membership includes access to the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion, Norris Aquatics Center, Blomquist Recreation Center, all Group Exercise classes, and discounts for many Northwestern Recreation services and classes.

*A one-time $100 registration fee applies to all households.*

*The child rate is only valid if a parent is a member of the facility. Children must be at least 16 years of age to use the facility without being accompanied by an adult member.

PURCHASING A MEMBERSHIP

To purchase an ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP, please complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to the Northwestern Recreation portal (recreation.northwestern.edu) using your NetID and password. 

  2. Add a credit card to your account.

    • Click the profile icon in the right-hand corner and select Profile.

    • On the left-hand side, select Payment Option and select Add New Card under Manage Payment Options.

  3. To enroll in-person, visit our Membership Office during office hours, or contact our membership team via email (recreation@northwestern.edu) or phone (847-491-4303).

  4. Review and understand our Membership terms and conditions.

To purchase a MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP, please complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to the Northwestern Recreation portal (recreation.northwestern.edu) using your NetID and password. 

  2. Add a credit card to your account.

    • Click the profile icon in the right-hand corner and select Profile.

    • On the left-hand side, select Payment Option and select Add New Card under Manage Payment Options.

  3. Complete our Monthly Billing Agreement form.

  4. Submit your completed agreement in-person to Membership Office during office hours. Or email it to recreation@northwestern.edu (forms must be submitted as a PDF file).

    • If submitted via email, a member of the Membership Office staff will contact you once received.

  5. Review and understand our Membership terms and conditions.
