Job Description
Our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are part of our frontline operations team and help to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our users. This position rotates between front desk check-in, monitoring the various fitness areas, cleaning exercise equipment, managing the Pro Shop, and enforcing building regulations for the safety of all users. While in this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in customer service, time management, and multitasking while working with a diverse team of individuals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep facility in excellent condition while also providing great customer service to our patrons
- Enforce regulations regarding the use of equipment and facility policies and procedures
- Work cooperatively with other areas within the department
- Conduct routine cleaning of fitness equipment
- General understanding of the operation of the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion and/or Blomquist Recreation Center
- Monitor assigned areas and assist patrons with inquiries and questions
- Verify student, member, and guest IDs for registration and access to facilities, programs, and services
- Respond to all building emergencies (accidents/injuries, inclement weather, etc.)
- Perform other work as assigned
Qualifications
- Attend required staff meetings and trainings
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to interact with diverse groups through a variety of situations
- Ability to use independent judgment when needed
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
