Float effortlessly — warm, dry, and wrapped in comfort — atop your own air mattress as the water below gently supports you.
With a blanket, pillow, eye mask, essential oils, and candlelight, you drift into a sanctuary of stillness.
Live sound healing instruments are played around you from all directions. A trained practitioner moves gracefully through the water, guiding your float for enhanced acoustics and offering in-water instrumentation for a deeply immersive experience. On the pool deck, additional sound practitioners layer crystal bowls, chimes, gongs, monochords, and other instruments to create a rich, multidimensional soundscape.
This is more than relaxation; it's a luxurious reset for the nervous system and the soul.
All supplies are provided. Simply arrive, settle in, and allow yourself to be carried.

HOW TO REGISTER
If you do NOT currently have an account with Northwestern Recreation:
- Visit the Northwestern Recreation portal (recreation.northwestern.edu), select Sign In in the top right corner of the page, then Sign Up located at the bottom of the dialog box.
- Northwestern students, faculty, and staff should use their NetID and password to log in.
- Complete the necessary information.
- Activate your account with the email you used to register and make sure you are logged in.
- Add a credit card to your account.
- Click the profile icon in the right-hand corner and select Profile.
- On the left-hand side, select Payment Option. If you need to add a card, select Add New Card and follow the prompts.
- Select Programs from the menu options, followed by Special Event and Luxury Floating Sound Journey.
- Choose the session(s) you wish to enroll in. Select Register and follow the prompts.
If you currently HAVE an account with Northwestern Recreation:
- Log in to the Northwestern Recreation portal (recreation.northwestern.edu) using your credentials.
- Northwestern students, faculty, and staff should use their NetID and password to log in.
- Check that you have an active credit card on file.
