  1. Exercises that may endanger you or other participants are strictly prohibited. All Northwestern Recreation Staff have the right to stop any activity that they deem unsafe.  
     
  2. Unload all bars as well as re-rack all weight plates, bumper plates, dumbbells, and other equipment after each use.
     
  3. Collars must be used on bars at all times.
     
  4. Do not slam or drop weights from any area above the waist. All Olympic lift finishes should be controlled and assisted back to the floor after the first bounce.
     
  5. Be courteous to other participants and wipe sweat off equipment with designated cleaning wipes after use. 
     
  6. Athletic shoes covering the entire foot must be worn around the facility at all times.
     
  7. Clean, appropriate athletic attire must cover the chest and buttocks. Attire that could cause damage to equipment is prohibited.
     
  8. Spotters are strongly recommended when lifting free weights.
     
  9. Allow others to work in with you while doing multiple sets.
     
  10. All chalk use is prohibited.
     
  11. Only authorized Athletics and Recreation staff are allowed to provide personal training services. Any outside trainers caught using the facility for training purposes will be asked to leave the facility.
  1. Food is not permitted in the fitness areas. Water and sports drinks in unbreakable, closed containers are permitted. 
     
  2. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted on any of the fitness equipment unless accompanied by a Northwestern University Personal Trainer. All children under the ages of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian the entire time they are in the facility.
     
  3. Report any problems or concerns to the Northwestern Recreation Staff.
