Job Description

As a personal trainer, you will work with clients to develop personalized fitness plans that meet their health and wellness goals. You will be responsible for designing and implementing individual workout programs for all fitness levels and ages. While also coaching clients on the proper use of exercise equipment and promoting safe techniques and form. Our trainers work with clients both one-on-one and/or in a small group setting.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized programs that are safe and progressive to enhance the client’s personal goals
  • Conduct fitness assessments and fitness orientations while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Teach clients proper exercise form through the use of verbal, visual, and kinesthetic cues
  • Enforce facility policies and procedures
  • Maintain current certifications, including any additional safety training
  • Keep up to date with the latest health and fitness trends
  • Provide a safe, friendly, and inclusive learning environment
  • Perform other work as assigned


Qualifications

  • Hold and maintain current, NCCA accredited personal training certification (i.e., ACSM, NASM, ACE) (required)
  • Maintain a current CPR / AED and First Aid certification (required)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with diverse individuals
  • Have a good understanding of human anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve as needed
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings
  • Be positive, enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, and creative
