ILLINOIS LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Dallas is a graduate of the Cortiva Institute of Chicago (class of 2013) and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). He is also a certified FMT provider RockTape (Level 1). Before massage school, Dallas was an inside sales customer service representative for a manufacturing company. He provided printing needs to print shops with professionalism and great problem-solving skills. For a time, Dallas was also a cat caretaker for the rescue service Touched By An Animal. He provided loving care to abandoned shelter cats and cats that needed medical care.

His experience has allowed him to approach his role as a massage therapist with professionalism, caring, and compassion. He intends to have clients leave feeling pain-free and stress-free.

Dallas currently lives in Evanston.

Why Did You Become a Massage Therapist?
"I became a massage therapist for several reasons. One of them was from being downsized by corporate America. I wanted to look for another career where I was valued as a person rather than just a number. Another reason, since I compete as a longboard racer and a runner, I wanted to learn more about how to fix myself from potential muscle aches and pain. For those reasons (and learning how the body functions), I applied the knowledge of bodywork to help others with their own muscle issues."

What Motivates You?
"It may sound funny, but I like superheroes; I just don't wear a uniform. I pretend I'm a superhero and "rescue" people from their muscle aches. As massage therapists, we strive to do our very best in bodywork - that is why we, as massage therapists, can be superheroes too."

What is your Most Memorable Moment?

"The most memorable moment was when I was selected to be a resident massage therapist for the cast of Hamilton. 'I am not throwing away my shot.'"
